Nick, Jess, and Baby Irving

          I was so blessed to meet Jessica almost three years ago through a mutual friend. We clicked almost instantly, and are now best friends. Nick and Jessica's story is amazing and shows that God will give you the desires of your heart, in His timing! Just a few months into their marriage (5 years ago) Jessica found out that she was expecting their first child, Madison. Over the course of her pregnancy she found out that Madison had fluid surrounding her brain and was sent from her doctor in Carroll, Iowa to Omaha, Nebraska for a follow-up. The news was not what they wanted to hear. At 27 weeks Jess went into pre-term labor with Madison, and Madison went to be with her Father in Heaven.
Over the past five years of marriage, Nick and Jess have lost four children. After our photo shoot on Saturday, we went out to eat, and I shared with them how much their marriage inspires me. Although they are still young, they have been through more than what many married couples have been through their whole lives, and none of these trials have caused them to loose their faith in the Lord. In fact, these trials have caused them to lean closer to God, and have a unwavering dependence on the Lord.
          Now, you can imagine the mixed emotions going through me when Jess sent me this text message...
Followed by: "Shhh don't tell anyone?(;

Since then, my husband, boys, and I have been praying for Baby Irving... We told a few people ;)
          On Friday, Nick and Jessica came to Omaha for their check-up with a specialist to see how Baby Irving is doing (and to find out if it is a boy, or girl...). Anxiety and fear was high with them, but the news they received this time was AWESOME! Baby Irving is developing perfectly! Although the fear will most likely not cease from them until the moment of delivery, it's hard to not sit back and take a sigh of relief. Everything looks good. My dear friends are about to receive a precious and much anticipated gift from the Lord, and we couldn't be happier for them!
          Nick and Jess, I hope you enjoyed both of our photo shoots, and you cherish these moments forever. With all of my love and prayer!!!!
